Imagine working at a veterinary clinic steps away from a famous surf beach, with palm trees lining the streets, local markets and great restaurants… Welcome to your Nicaraguan veterinary experience! This experience includes Spanish immersion with a local homestay and Spanish lessons!
Highlights and Experience
Work in a busy veterinary clinic that provides subsidized high quality care to local animals and rescues abandoned dogs and cats. You will also be involved in high volume spay and neuter clinics and vaccination campaigns. You will work Monday through Friday at the clinic, and be involved in caring for rescued animals. Basic Spanish skills are necessary for this placement as you will be working with local veterinarians and staff.
Accommodation
Your accomodation is simple but comfortable
Stay with a local family, with meals included Monday to Friday, and get your Spanish skills down pat with twice weekly classes. Accommodation is simple but allows you to immerse yourself in Nicaraguan culture and experience the area like a local. Your Spanish school also has regular field trips and can help organize extra activities like surf lessons, hikes and weekend trips.

$850 USD/week for up to 4 weeks
$800 USD/week for stays longer than 4 weeks
